It was an honor to be chosen as the designer of the inaugaral Redfish Film Festival poster for their 2024 event!

I knew when approaching this project that I wanted to create something that both reflected its real physical location, as well as the festival’s dream of inspiring a small town with a world-class event. The idea of the film camera acting as a beacon of light over downtown was something I felt drawn to explore, while also playing with layout and lettering choices inspired by classic movie poster designs.

The festival had 200 posters made, 100 of which I signed in a meet-and-greet event at the festival itself. It was inspiring to see work I had made digitally printed at that scale, and so fulfilling to meet folks and hear their stories and experiences of this first year of the fest.
